These branches and limbs are all of the same tree, which is on the grounds of an historic house in Lancaster. The house is in extremely poor condition, and located on what has become a very busy road. I got the sense that the house just didn't want to be there anymore, and that the tree shared the same feeling and decided many years ago to give up growing.
