I recently read that an image with grain is able to be "seen better"; a bit of graininess helps the lines, curves, and shading in a picture to stand out a bit more. Grain isn't the only difference between these two, but it's one of the bigger differences. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on these.




Personally, I prefer #2 (the bottom one).
